HOW TO FEEDING PATIENTS CURRENTLY ON NGT
Before do feeding NGT for patients, we should prepare what we need, such as: syringe for feeding, formula/food, water for flashing the food etc
And then we do prepare for pasients and make sure the patients sit in the right position . If the patients paralyzed , we do help the patients to sit up around 45° .And before feed the patients we should wash hand
GIVE FEEDING NGT
1 . Wash your hand
2 . Make sure the correct amount of formula and warm it to the desired temperature
3 . Check tube placement as a bove mark on NGT tube and PH testing
4 . Clamp the tube
5 . Attach a syringe to the feeding tube
6 . Pour the formula into the syringe . If the patients coughing when feeding , do otomatically my finger to pin the tube , so the food stop a while and the patients not get choke
7 . Unclamp the tube .
After finish fed the pasients , let them sit there for 30 minute or 1 hour , do not give the patients lay down first . Wait for few minutes until the food really go down in the stomach
